About me

Hi there! I’m Georgia Roskin (previously Maurice) a Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist with over 8 years’ experience working both in the NHS and in private practice.

I have extensive experience supporting preschool and school-aged children and young people across a range of settings (including nurseries, schools, online and in the home).

I also work alongside a small team of trusted practitioners who share my approach and values. Together, we’re able to support more families, offering flexible options tailored to your child’s needs. We cover the following areas:

  • Hertfordshire (covering the entire borough, including North Hertfordshire, Stevenage, St. Albans, Welwyn Garden City, Hatfield, Watford, Hertsmere – Bushey, Elstree, Borehamwood, Shenley and Radlett and more)
  • London Borough of Harrow (including Harrow Weald, Harrow on the Hill, Stanmore, Canons Park, Belmont and Edgware)
  • London Borough of Brent (including Kenton, Kingsbury, Queensbury and Colindale)
  • London Borough of Haringey (including Bounds Green, Crouch End, Highgate, Hornsey, Muswell Hill and Wood Green)
  • London Borough of Camden (including Belsize Park, Hampstead, Kentish Town, Kings Cross)

Please note: I’m currently unable to work with families whose child lives, attends nursery/ school, or is registered with a GP in the borough of Barnet.

We also offer online sessions, which can be a great alternative for families outside of our travel areas.

In addition to my private practice, I continue to work in the NHS as a Clinical Co-ordinator for Speech & Language Therapy Services, where I help shape early support for children’s communication needs. My team and I support children and young people with:

  • Attention and Listening Difficulties
  • Autism Spectrum Condition (including Gestalt Language Processors)
  • Language Difficulties including Developmental Language Disorder
  • Learning Difficulties including Global Developmental Delay
  • Social Communication Difficulties
  • Stammering
  • Speech Sound Difficulties including Childhood Apraxia of Speech

My team and I believe therapy works best when it’s collaborative, fun, and practical. We focus on empowering the key adults in a child’s life so that progress continues beyond the therapy session.

I have completed the Meaningful Speech course on Gestalt Language Processing and am a licensed Hanen It Takes Two to Talk therapist. Additionally, I have completed training in the Attention Autism programme and Nuffield Dyspraxia. I am trained in Makaton up to Level 4 and am also a certified Makaton Signing for Babies and Families Trainer.

I also specialise in supporting children and young people who stammer; I am Camperdown trained and have attended courses at the Michael Palin Centre. Additionally, I have attended Counselling Skills and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy courses which aid my work.

I am registered with the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT), the Association of Speech and Language Therapists in Independent Practice (ASLTIP) and with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
